Well our day was cut very short. We got there at 11 and Declan was in the 1pm performance.. about 12:15 his mouth really started to hurt and he was just miserable. I offered to take him home, but he wanted to just dance and be ok. So I let him go!

He got on stage and while he couldn’t smile he did just fine!

After he was done he just wanted to go home.. he was in tears..it breaks my heart.I gathered the kids and home we came. I am not sure if we’ll head back for the next show.. we’ll see how it all goes with them resting.

Well the swelling has gone down a but this morning.. he’s my little man..notice his right side?

Well he did not sleep so well last night.. woke up just as if not more swollen..sigh..now his face is red and warm to the touch..BUT he is in good spirits, insists on going to the recital and doing his dance. I think as long as we keep the mortin in his system he will make it through the day well. he’s 5 th on for the 1st show and then we have been told we can go with no guilt. He says he wants to stay for both shows and help Eric with the music.. so basically we’ll see!

Ahh Day 2 is over..it was a crazy one too.

Last night after I got everyone settled,blog posted etc Declan woke up writhing in pain. A few months ago he had a tooth filled and he was not happy and Dr. Lisa had to rush it a bit.. well off and on he’s said it hurt..nothing I was too worried about..we had an appointment in a week anyway. Well last night he just became unbearable. We gave him motrin and it seemed to work..he woke at 5:30 , we gave him more then he went back to sleep. I had to wake him at 8:15 and noticed he felt warm.

8:30 Eric left, 9:00 Declan and I headed out.. stopping at CVS to get more “bigger kid” Motrin. We got to the school and got Declan ready for his Tap/Jazz rehearsal:

Declan rehearsal went off without a hitch! I left him with Eric and went home to get the other kids so we could have lunch as a family before the real madness began!

On come the first actual show.. I am the crazy lady anyone saw with the baby in the backpack wrangling kids..it was GREAT..lol.So I thought.

We got to see our friend Mia dance..she was GREAT:

Well his tooth was not only hurting..but his face was swelling..BAD..This is just the start..it got so swollen my poor baby!

You can see it more here while he’s helping Daddy with the sound system..poor kid looks like he has a giant jaw breaker in his check and you could tell he was in pain..broke my heart.

Well I whisked Taejan to my friend Julie, Jadziah to one of the parents I know well and I took off home to get our Ped Dentist’s number. Thank Gosh she called me right back and immediately called in a script for Penicillin. So Declan gets his first doze at 4:30.. he is on stage at 6:30!! He pushed thru the pain and discomfort and as they say..”The Show Must Go On”.

While his class was in the wings his cousin was on stage waiting to dance..so we got her and Ziah together!

Well my brave boy got up and did his thing..danced amazingly with his class..you could tell he was in pain but he just smiled and went on!

I was supposed to stay and of course work the rest of this show but I took the kids and went home Declan had been there since 9am and it was 7:30.. Taejan and Ziah had been there since 11:30 and I am so proud of how well behaved they were. They amaze me! Declan just wanted his bed and his blankie.. thus far his face is just as swollen as it was..he’s had 2 doses of meds… I just hope he feels better by morning. We have one more day of shows, Declan is in the 1st one of the day and if he’s not feeling well my MIL already knows I am taking him home and they will survive without me for the 4th show right?

Being family I get to be in the wings whenever I want ..which affords me the ability to get some great pictures..of course I have to avoid getting in the dancers way…one almostt ook me out while I was taking this picture..I think it was worth it..
