Wayzley Academy

Ah.. we had a mostly wonderful day today!!! Started off great with Robin and the kids coming over! They helped us color the Ocean Mural that goes with our Ocean unit!

Taejan did his part by staying out of the way:

After the mural was up we put up the great Ocean life stickers Owen got us a few weeks ago!…and yes I had 5 kids on my table to put said stickers on!

They also brought us a new caterpillar! Jadziah named it Pony ( yeah just like the hermit crab..lol)

The kids played like crazy and had a great time before it was time for Owen and Lila to head home and us to head for lunch and naps . During Taejan’s nap we played games and Ziah is getting really good at slightly above age level game..it’s so nice!!

Once Taejan woke we headed outside.

I am ashamed to say we haven’t done this activity all summer… ack..we used to do it daily.. but that was before we met awesome friends..lol.. so yup..here’s what we hadn’t done and what the kids LOVE..

Yup just playing in the back with the hose.. they did it for THREE hours while mommy completely cleaned out the entire garage! Taejan seems to be getting out of the run the second he can stage so I was actually able to get so much done!!

So on they played!

Because Mommy was cleaning off strollers and such Taejan decided to clean his stuff!

One last ride on the 4×4 for the day

So it was probably one of the best days we’ve had in a few .. it was awesome! I knew it was too good to end well though.. I had typed it all out but I won’t publish it..let’s just say it was a 23 month old verses the main road and Daddy “looking for the baby”.. I am a very upset mommy right now.. my baby is fine..thank goodness but it was close to not being all right..if anyone wants details you can e-mail me! For now I am off to put my kids to bed..hugging Taejan really tight before hand!

Well this morning we met up with Robin and kids and Stacy and krew at a nearby school playground. We had the whole place to ourselves, 8 kids and it was a nice morning!

After a few errands,lunch and Taejan in for a nap we did the Butterfly books from Enchanted Learning.com:

Once taejan was up we headed out Caterpillar hunting! I thought they’d be less moody and miserable outside..i was WRONG.. ugh this heat is going to kill us yet this week.. and it’s only monday!!!!

Miss Jadziah was our lucky caterpillar hunter and found one almost right away!

he’s SUPER tiny but eating up a storm!

We saw a lot of butterflies while there…this one was the prettiest!

I let the kids play a bt then we had all had it so we came home..where they are still miserable!!!!

Well as usual Stacy saved me from boredom while my husband and eldest go golfing! I brought the kids over and they played and built some models!

and of course we had some running!

Well we left this morning for Mini golf for Eric and the middles, driving range for Noah and Taejan and I headed to the mall! Taejy and I picked up hermit crabs!!!

The green one is Pikachu, and the blue Dora one is Pony! ( they wanted to name them Owen and Lila @@ screwy kids)

When we got home  the second caterpillar had entered the Chrysalis stage! Now we have a 9-14 day wait until the emerge as Monarch butterflies!

Oh this morning we moved our existing Sea Monkey’s into their new home:

and we set up a new hatchery tank and got some more going!!

My home has so many no human living creatures in it..something I never thought I’d be comfortable with..but ya know..I love it!!! And the best thing is my kids do too!!

Well about 5 minutes ago we didn’t…but now we do!!!

The one next to it will be one very soon!!! I tell ya nature is very cool to watch!!!
