Pigs, tractors, phonics and fun!justakrazymom | September 26th, 2007 @ 8:06 pm
Yep…another exciting few days at the Academy!
Yesterday we went to hang out with Robin and the kids.. they got new piggies a little bit ago and my kids have been bugging me since to go see them..

Lots of playing went on..of course.. I mean don’t you want to jump in the saw dust pile?? I want to but I’m afraid Robin will think I am even more of a freak than she already does..LOL..

Taejan wanted to see all the equipment..he has a thing for Tractors.. of course when we got close to this one ( then when the kids got ON it) he was less than thrilled.. he still has some sensory issue’s..lol

Of course the only ting I could think with this picture of Ziah and Owen in the tractor is I need to be playing Kenny Chesney’s “She thinks my tractor’s sexy”..lol.. Sorry..but ya know…

Owen loved telling me what each machine did..I of course..have already forgotten..Owen you’ll have to tell me again when I make Taejan’s book!

We got to hang out with the goats..they sure have gotten big! Gunko thought Ziah’s hair and my capri’s where lunch though..lol

The kids were digging a hole..I think to China.. all I know is they were so filthy I had to hose them off before I let them in my house..now that’s how ya know your kids had fun!

Before we left they got to help Owen “work on his bike”…

We had a great time.. as always… we never go wrong hanging with them!
Today we had a learning filled morning.. Declan has decided “school” ( trying to get that word out of our vocab actually) at the coffee table is the best way to go..and if he can swing on the chair while doing it then that’s even better!

He stops to do some writing.. BTW I have to say how much we are loving Explode the Code.. I am so impressed with this system.. Declan is getting better and better at reading.. he’s almost donw with book 1, so we’ll move on to book 1.5 I just got book 2 from CBD and he already told me he knows half the answers..lol

After rest/naps etc we went outside.. it’s so beautiful!! I can’t believe it’s the end of Sept in the Berkshires and it’s 80+ outside!!
Here’s Declan practicing his Kata for Karate.. he is so close to his yellow belt!!

Ziah had to practice too..lol

Noah did is reading outside in the beautiful air!

and what day wouldn’t be complete without my boys trying to damage themselves?

of course Taejan will not be left out.yes he drove the power wheels like this:

as I watch my lovely children and their antics I eat a little crow.. because I remember many a time saying “my child will NEVER do that”.. or some other version of the same..yet look at them… and not only do I let them, I photograph it! So new moms..never say never!!

I love the “She thinks my tractor’s sexy” comment. That really made me laugh. Your day on the farm seemed like it was so much fun. And I have to agree with you, “Never say never!” What they can do;they will. What they can’t do; they will try it.
