Well we have another 8-10 inches of snow coming tonight and tomorrow.. my kid are beyond excited..LOL..mommy too!
On a not great note though..Noah called not 2 hours after hitting the slopes.. he landed wrong on a jump and hurt his knee. It’s rather swollen and I have him icing it.. if it’s still all swollen tomorrow I will take him to urgent care because I know how icky knee issues can be!
Well overnight we got about 12 inches of new snow!!! The kids are beyond excited since we were down to just dirty icky stuff. Eric is still on vacation so that makes it extra great.. Daddy will take them out to play!! So to kick off the morning I went and got some nice clean snow ( oh man it’s perfect snow too.. my skier is rather excited and can’t wait to get the drive clear so he can go spend 10 hours on the slopes!) and we made snow cream for “breakfast”.

Well today we did an impromptu science experiment!
I was linked to this YouTube video thru my Homechooling message board. Of course I had to immediately do this with the kids!! I took lots of pictures…what a cool experiment and man it was easy and fun!! In fact as I write this Eric is still watching it go..
Our 1st attempt.. this one didn’t go as well as the video..live and learn right?
we tried again and this time it went much faster and more explosive!
I really highly suggest if you have milk, food coloring and dishsoap you grab the kids(and the husbands/wives) and head to the kitchen to try this! Ours is STILL mixing together and Eric ( the 35 year old DH) is still watching it..lol ..added bonus to is you can actually teach the kids a little about chemical reactions!!!
