Well Declan and I made a Subtraction Facts lapbook thanks to Homeschool Share! He’s not doing subtraction yet.. but we have a sick house so we needed something to pass the time!

Ok back to this and hopefully not much more during the week. While I have been couch bound hurt and with a sick 2 year old I have come up with a new plan of action around here..so no blogging except on Wed/Sat and Sun! If you call me between 8am-3pm be prepared for voice mail.. no more distractions from education!

So we had a busy week planned but due to my injury and now Taejan’s illness we’re pretty much home bound!

Monday~ Nothing for us during the day, Noah has Culinary at 3:30..my MIL will grab him and drop him off for me. Eric will work his 2nd job.

Tuesday~ If I can drive Noah has his class in NY, I will only be bringing Declan with me this week. Then Dance in the afternoon.. Eric will take Declan and I will stay home with the rest.

Wednesday~ Noah has his volunteer work.. I am going to see about him changing his day to Thursday though as that meshes bettwe with our schedule. Normal school and nothing else for the rest of us. Noah has Woodworking and Jr Leaders..again my MIL will bring him and pick him up for me.Eric will be working his 2nd job.
Thursday.. Dance in the AM for Declan and Ziah..then school stuff and then karate before dnner.. again Eric will be bringing Declan and I will stay home.Noah will likely ski tonight if he’s earned the privilege.

Friday was supposed to start Science Club but we will be waiting a few weeks until I feel better and am more able to get thru all the hands on stuff I have planned. So instead we will just be home doing normal school stuff! Eric will work his 2nd job again likely.

Saturday we have dance all morning.. If I am not feeling up to it then Eric will only put 3 hours into his 2nd job so I don’t have to chase Taejan around the studio for 3 hours!

I am really hoping to get into a better routine and have Noah doing more work and less “stuff”..we’ve been kinda lax in that dept lately! Declan will begin his First Language Lessons for the Well Trained Mind. Noah will hopefully finish up his Titanic Lapbook and begin working on his Revolutionary war one as well as his Mythological Creatures one. Math will take center stage again as his skills are just not grade level.. so I will be seaking out lots of online tools for him to be on here sharpening his skills and hopefully getting him up to par. Declan and I should be able to finish up Call of the Wild and start another Illustrated Classic! I really think setting goals for us is key right now! We also need to finish up Great Britain and then start Russia ( Declan and Ziah).. so much to do… so much for me to think about!

I guess as Noah gets ever so much closer to 18, as Declan inches his way closer to double digits and Ziah and Taejan are getting closer to just being kids.. it hits me hard. I stop and look around at adults I know who’s kids are my age or slightly younger, who have their own lives.. it makes me sad. The logical side of me says not to spent time thinking about all this.. but I can’t help it. One day my kids will be grown, have lives of their own, where exactly does that leave us, the parents? I so need to still be in their lives.. I can only pray..pray hard I do this whole raising them right, so they don’t just disappear from our lives.

Ok I think too much time sick, hurt and now on the couch with a sick 2 year old has gotten to me! Back to the regularly scheduled blogging…

My poor Taejan has been up all night sick.. whaaa…he’s never had the vomiting sickness since he was a wee baby so it’s hard on him. He keeps telling me “I puke mama I puke on coffee table on daddy  on my pillow”.. he’s breaking my heart because he says “I hungry I need lunch” but I cna’t give him anything..it won’t stay down. Right now he’s resting on the couch.. he doesn’t want to be touched..I am guessing body aches..whaaaaaaaaa

As always my friend Candy came thru for me!! Check out Declan’s invites and my new siggy! They are already being printed ( minus the do not copy of course) and I can’t wait to get them in the mail!!!

I must saying having these in my inbox sure made me feel better! Not only am I hurt but my nasty head/sinus cold is back full force..I so needed something good! On a plus side though.. I have gotten a TON o lapbooks printed..LOL.. in fact I have used up the whole started cartridge and 2 reams of paper..LOL
