That’s Noah’s helmet… that coulda been Noah’s skull had I been a different Mom. Ya see none of Noah’s friends wear helmets..not a one..and every once in awhile they rag on Noah and he “forgets” his helmet. Well today musta been one of those days..it’s the first day of Spring Skateboarding and Noah was with his friends all morning just hanging out..came home to get his board.. I saw him walking back up the street..no helmet..so being the royal PITA mommy I am.. I went to my van and drove after him..made him get IN the van..come home, get his helmet, warn him I WILL be driving around checking on him ( I never did though..lol) so he best wear that helmet. Well he just came home and said “mom I need a new helmet” and showed me his VERY broken helmet..now that’s a HARD impact when the foam shell breaks in 4 + pieces! He slipped backwards during a trick.
I think my son has finally learned WHY we wear helmets.. because had his MEAN Mom NOT dragged his sorry butt back home..we’d be spending Easter a whole different way this year!

All I can say is WOW, I’m so glad Noah’s OK!!!! Helmets are definitely necessary!! (And to think that NH doesn’t require them on motorcyles— dumb if you ask me!!)

WOW! I’m the only one in our neighborhood the requires helmets. Seeing this reaffirms that it’s the right thing to do. I’m so glad that Noah is OK!

Oh WOW! So grateful you were such a MEAN mom to him! That would just be awful! We knew a family who lost a son in a motorcycle accident because he refused to wear a helmet and they never made a big deal about it. I am the same way, I won’t get my daughter a bike without one.
