Well we’ve finally done it.. we’ve hit SPRING!! With spring comes the desire to be outside, NOT inside doing lessons..Between sick kids, nice weather and a hurt foot we haven’t done much “school” lately..well Noah has but even he’s almost done! So I think I am putting an official end to our official school year…now Noah has 1.5 more weeks of stuff and then except for Math he’s DONE until September. Declan will continue with Phonics, math etc, but on a much looser schedule.. no more projects, units, lapbooks etc… sorry all. We may do the occasional “thing” if the weather is icky or whatnot..but don’t count on it! Noah has one more lapbook to finish on the American Rev. war and he’s done with Lapbooks until Sept.. he will finish off the 1700’s and the early 1800’s with Switched on Schoolhouse and we’ll call ourselves DONE..yeppie!! We are way too much of outdoors people to be stuck inside when the weather is nice, and once my cohort in outside fun is recovered from her new baby I am sure we’ll be as active as ever!

Now on to the Karate news ..Last nigt Declan got his blue Stripes!!! YEPPIE.. he is VERY proud of himself..he works so hard in class and he just lives in Karateworld let me tell you!

On to the next thing.. Taejan’s foot! Well he was off of it most of th emornng due to driving about 105 miles total bringing Noah to and from his NY class ( 2 round trips..FUN). He is still limping, and early today I couldn’t get a shoe on him befcause it hurt, but by tonight the shoe was on and he was outside playing, still a small limp, but it didn’t really slow him down!

Oh and some pictures, we have spent the better part of the last 3 days cleaning out the yard, clearing some more of the overgrowth to make the useable yard bigger, moving the swingset etc. We had planned to add a trampoline but with Taejan’s recent foot issues we decided ( and the kids are rather upset with us) to forgo it this year.. I have a feeling we may have to forgo it altogether as I think we will have a few too many broken bones if we get one. We have plans for a good size dirt box though..i say dirt verses Sandbox because I am getting the kids good ole DIRT from the landscaping place across the street..they prefer dirt, it’s more fun etc.so why bother with pricey sand right?
