The Office/Schoolroom a 360 degree tour!Revistedjustakrazymom | August 10th, 2008 @ 3:26 pm
As promised the other day I have pictures of our new schoolroom.Sorry it took longer than I planned but we had unexpected company for 3 days..things kinda got all outta wack..but we are back to normal and ready to get back to schooling!
This room actually feels more like a real schoolroom since it’s separate from the rest of the main living space, and is bigger! Most of the elements of the old room are the same as in this post. A few new things, more of the games fit down here..in fact all our truly educational ones do, and our crafts closet fits down here. what we don’t have is an actual closet anymore..but I don’t feel we need it as of yet..if we eventually need more space this room is right off the large laundry room and shelves can be put up out there for more storage! I also plan to get 2 or 3 small bean bag chairs for when we do read alouds, and we will be putting normal flooring down in a few weeks , right now it just has an area rug over the concrete.Oh and I need curtains.. just gotta decide what colors.. I am thinking red, blue, yellow and green ( one panel of each)
So here it is: The color is not the best but we didn’t have time to paint when we moved Noah outta down here and upstairs..so…
View from the door:

Once inside going around the room counter clockwise:
The back of the door and the rest if pretty self explanatory:

New element..the craft closet.. this was outside the old schoolroom and fits in here perfect! That door leads to Declan’s room.. very convenient for him eh?

I have to say while I don’t care for the why we had to move things around, I LOVE the new space..it’s perfect and leaves us a lot of room to grow. Oh and here’s our new weather station .. the kids are going to have so much fun with measuring and tracking temperature and rain and wind..LOL..me too I might add!

Oh yeah..I forgot to mention how excited I am to have the drop ceilings too.. just think of all the fun mobiles I can hang from them!!!

Looks great! We are planning on doing something similar with our garage. I think it will help to have room just for school. Welcome back!

Love your set-up. Any chance you can share where you got the little white table and chairs? I am on the hunt for my little ones. Thanks for all of the inspiration.

I love the schoolroom! Our schoolroom is totally lacking in the shelving department so I’m completely jealous!
