Our maiden voyage..justakrazymom | August 15th, 2008 @ 5:58 pm
Well after a trial run around the neighborhood we decided to hit the bike trail once Eric left for work!
Here’s the happy munchkins.. they couldn’t wait to get moving!

2.5 miles later we saw Whitney’s across the street ( well the almost highway) and braved crossing and played and had our snack there!

after a good play time Declan and I walked our bikes back to the bike trail and started back. On the way he wanted to know about this sign..

Which is a memorial for Sgt. 1st class Daniel Petithory who’s sister I worked with for years.
After talking about who he was and how I knew Dan, we pressed on.. we stopped at our usual stop when we go with Robin and the kids ( nope..no messy shoes this time Robin..lol) and the kids looked for caterpillars . We didn’t find any but that’s ok, Robin gave us 2 yesterday anyway!

Well we did the slightly over 5 mile round trip and except for someone who parked entirely too close to the back of my van, it all went well. Declan is an amazing little biker and the trailer is rather easy to pull considering it’s about 75 pounds with the kids in it! I am certain I’ll have very sore legs in the morning…but it was worth it and I can’t wait to go back!!

Looks like fun! Good for you pulling the trailer-I can’t even ride a bike well! LOL
We tried to find some caterpillars the other day and did not have any luck. We will venture out again soon, we have had tons in our yard but to be honest the ones we have were scary looking! LOL

It looks great behind the pink bike!!!
I love the way I feel after riding my bike…and that’s without pulling the extra weight.
