The perfect day to get a tree!

Since we finally got some snow ( well kinda some snow..lol) we decided to head off to get our real tree. This is for outside use as a giant decoration added to my insanely bright lawn display and we also add all sorts of animal and bird feeders.  My friend Robin sells trees from their farm so off we went!

It was a tad bit windier over at her place and the snow picked up a bit..but that , to me, is perfect cut your own tree weather!

Not much snow but a start at least..now it feels like the holiday season to me!

into the tree’s we go!

Ziah on the hunt ( shh..don’t tell her we actually look for one that isn’t perfect since it’s just for outside use).. she wanted a beautiful tree!

Taejan just wanted to help use the saw!

Declan didn’t really want to be with us, he wanted to be back up playing with Owen!

Tree found and being cut down!

loading it on the cart

not exactly sure why Eric thought giving the 3 year old the saw to carry back was a good idea @@.

needless to say a quick cute picture and Mommy carried it!

Once it was baled and on the van the kids all played. Taejan came int he dairy building with Robin, the baby and I and had fun with all the Stuff:

Of course there was fun on the tractor too!

And playing in the snow covered tress..right up Ziah and Declan’s alley ( and Owenand Lila too)

I so love getting the tree. :) Mine is sitting to my left right now waiting to be decorated. Matthew put the lights on last night.

I was wondering about Taejan and that saw. You did exactly what I would have done! Lol!
We missed having snow this year when we got our tree. Well, the kids I were. Dave was happy not to have to lie down in it to cut the tree. =)We were very happy to find a local tree farm though. And as Sweet Pea said, “At least it was cold outside!” LOL!

Looks like a great day to get a tree! I so hope that we get snow this year. All I can do is hope though. Being in the south I doubt that it will happen. Hey, a girl can dream can’t she? LOL! I hope we get to see photos of your decorated tree and your yard!

Got something to say?
