One of THOSE days..

So… the kids were having one of “those” days..and while I was making lunch I sent them outside to burn off some energy and crabbiness.

All of a sudden I hear this blood curdling screaming.. I race outside to see Declan doubled over with blood pouring from his nose.. it was bad. Taejan apparently decided to smash Declan in the nose with a wiffle ball bat.. I am NOT one to rush my kids to the Dr or the ER but there was so much blood.. I grabbed a towel..which he promptly filled with more blood, called Eric to come home from work and rushed him to the ER.

We got taken right in… they did x-rays.. no break..thank goodness. The Dr said he has a good gash internally from the smash and lots of clots and nastiness inside. He has to be very careful not to jar it, or it will bleed again. He lost a good amount of blood and was very dizzy and such.

He’s still a little off and his right side of his nose is rather swollen and a touch bruised.

Some good news..went to the Ortho with Noah..NO surgery!! apparently what happened is he almost had a fracture, the bone bent, filled with fluid but then didn’t break..so the bone is full of this fluid and it will take another 3-4 months to heal..BUT the ortho said if he really wants to wrestle thru the pain it’s up to him it will mostly just extend the healing time to 6-8 more months instead. so ..Noah can wrestle which makes all our lives easier!

Oh an more news.Van..STILL not fixed..the part they got did not do the trick.. they are hoping maybe tomorrow but I have a feeling not…grrr.. tomorrow marks a WEEK they’ve had it..I want my van back!!!

    Oh poor Declan. So happy to hear that it wasn’t broken, but ouch! I am also happy to hear that Noah will not have to have surgery. YAY! This just made me smile. I am sure that you are livid about the van! I sure hope that it is ready tomorrow.

    OH MY! It makes me hurt even to think about it! Please tell Declan he is a brave boy & we hope he is better soon.
