Geography Expo

Wednesday was the 2nd annual Geography Expo that one of the HSIng groups I am in sponsors. We missed it last year so I was determined to make it this year..I am very glad we did!

The kids are all given a passport, where they can gather facts, and get stamp or sticker from each country they “visit”. There was several exchange students ( one of whom is a friend of Noah’s from school) and every family that presented a country did a great job.The kids loved the various samples of food and candy from many of the countries. Declan is very excited now to present a country next year!

Here’s Noah ( right) with his friend that is from Egypt:

I’ll have a get the pics for our kids’ presentations from their school’s Geography Night to you. The older kids (4th and 5th grades) did European countries; the 3rd graders did landforms within Europe (Taras did the Danube River) and the 1st and 2nd graders did dioramas and booklets about animals indigenous to Europe (Stasia did the ermine).

Got something to say?
