Declan’s Green Belt Test!

Declan was invited to his first ever formal test for Karate.For ranks white belt thru blue with green stripe( there are 6 ranks before the one he was testing for) testing is done in class, for Green belt on he must be invited to a formal test. He was so nervous even though we knew this was coming. He was the youngest ( and smallest) one at today’s test. Here he is waiting to sign in:

Because he was the youngest and smallest he worked with Sensei Justin for this part of his test:


Here’s his Sanchin Kata..everyone does this kata as part of their test.

here’s his specific kata for the rank he is testing for..Short form Kanshu:

For his Yakusoku Kumite he was assisted by a higher ranked kiddo because he was closer to Declan’s size.
