Little House in the Big Woods..
This kiddo’s finished their lapbook from In the Hands of a Child based on ” Little House in the Big Woods” by Laura Ingalls Wilder today. We finished the book last week and I am so pleased with how much the kiddos, even my Tiny Tag Along got from it!
As I post this they are creating a deer lick and hunting deer.. they have made butter ( both real and pretend), pretended to smoke meat, and of course there was bee stings and mud wrappings!
Here they are with their finished product!

This was the first Literature based project pack we did with a read aloud..I am very glad we did.. it will not be our last!

Got something to say?

Very cool!! We love Little House and are working on a lapbook for Little House On The Prairie.
Love it!
Question: did you do a lapbook for each kid, or one collective lapbook? We have done lapbooks before and I love them but found it hard with one non reader. Lots of work for mom.
What did your TTA do?
Oh wow, thats awesome! Well done kids.
It looks great! What a fun unit.
Fantastic job, you guys! Keep up the good work!

Great job kiddos! We love all of the Little House series of books.
Another wonderful project finished! I want to make butter too! Was it hard to do?
