Christmas 2009
Another wonderful, much anticipated Christmas has come and gone. There were parties with friends, parties with family, and much time spent together.
This was by far the best Christmas in recent memory.
My 4 year was a wonder to watch. He spent the last 10 days in an unmatched state of pure excitement over Christmas. His energy and spirit were unrivaled.
Christmas Eve my amazing daughter exclaimed that the best gift was “having us as her family”. I could have received nothing else and been in pure bliss.
The soon to be 8 year old spent Christmas on the couch doubled over thanks to a nasty stomach bug, yet as he opened his gifts when a wave of “ok feeling” came over him..he still exclaimed that it was “The best Christmas ever”…yes..my heart melted.
The teenager even had a twinkle of joy in his eye more than once. He never asks for anything , and was truly surprised and pleased with the gifts he was given.. to see that child like twinkle in his eyes was a gift for me.
here are my amazing kids on Christmas Eve..

And here is a video of a few highlights of our Christmas :
Christmas Fun..part one
Last night we began our official Christmas celebrations. We took the 3 youngest to Capital Holiday Lights while Noah was out of state at a wrestling meet.
The pictures are the greatest..but you get the general idea..

After the lights we let the kids go on the little rides they offer for free. No one wanted to go on the swings so it was 2 rides on the Merry Go Round!

We went in to the little craft “fair” and I got a few sweet little items. Taejan saw Santa like last year but the price of pictures doubled from last year so I was unable to purchase one
Then today we went to Eric’s moms to exchange gifts.

All of us:

and the diva…. she loves this outfit my MIL got her.. as she says ” I don’t really want to wear a dress because I don’t like only being beautiful, I want to wear cool and beautiful clothes so I can be both”..apparently these are cool and beautiful clothes!

Living a Virtual Life..
Ever feel like so much of your “life” is virtual? Between the blog, the message boards, facebook and more?
My son has a virtual fishtank on Facebook.. we have 2 real ones in the house..so why the virtual ones?
Lately I’ve been feeling like too much of my time is being eaten up by said virtual life. I have zero interest in blogging, and am loosing interest in Facebook and my message board. I think it’s a good sign I am about to break away for awhile..focus on the REAL life in front of me.. So if there are no blog posts for awhile..you’ll know why.. and if I am not back for awhile..I wish you all a very Happy Holidays and a wonderful 2010!
A Christmas Exchange
I belong to the best Homeschool Forum around
and we did a home made Christmas gift exchange between the kids.
So between yesterday and today all 3 of my kids got their gifts!!
Ziah was first..her’s was from Cameron..I think her face says it all…she was THRILLED!!(plus she was FIRST..so that was even better!)

Then Declan got his..his was from Jared..and we love them!!They make my sunroom smell yummy!

Taejan’s came today..he was so happy cus he was NOT happy the other 2 got stuff and he didn’t. Willa made him this great game!!

The bigger kids like it too!

We got Elf’d again
I’ve set out 8 Elf bags.. and my friend Amy who brainstormed this with me has done several.. she knows of 3 friends who got elf’d today..so it’s spreading..are you part of the Elf’ing fun yet?
