Let’s see…we’ve had a busy but nice week. Having Daddy home all day has been an adjustment..but we’ve made it through 2 full days and I am finding a nice groove and I think overall it’s going to be great..it’s a good thing we get along so well though I tell ya..LOL.

Schooltime with Declan has become leaps and bounds easier! I shut us up in the office and Eric keeps the wee ones occupied..so we’ve been getting a LOT done in a short time..  It’s great. We’ve been working on some “fun” learning and one of the packs we did was Floating or Sinking..Declan loves having to hypothesize and test his theories:

we’ve also gotten to play outside even more..the morning “chores” take a lot less time when 2 adults are doing them! The other day I made the kids paintable chalk.. It’s Corn Starch,water and food coloring..some say equal parts of the corn starch and water..but I mixed way more starch so the “paint” would be thick like tempera paint…you just have to mix a little at a time. Well they LOVED it..went on like paint but dried like chalk..very cool!

Oh Ziah got some new bows from Alison and Tracy at FBB..  It’s been awhile since we’ve ordered any and Ziah was THRILLED to get them!

Yesterday Declan finally had enough money for a new Star Wars Lego set.. he was so excited. Here he is with it….except for 2 minor corrections my 6 year old built this totally on his own! I am so impressed with him!

Well we’ve pretty much had a really calm week. Declan came down sick Monday night and is still not 100%.

Wednesday Declan was still sick but begged to do some school so we started learning about Farms! Ziah is working on the Down on the Farm lapbook from HOAC.

Declan is working on a farm Pocket Book  from Evan Moor.

To conclude our lesson we had an egg hunt with some farm animal eggs I got on clearance after Easter:

Yesterday was another quiet day.. the kids just lounged around and Declan felt better.Declan and Noah both went to karate.

Today they all still feel kinda icky so they’ve been just lounging around..it’s a good day since we woke up to some nice fresh snow! So this is what my house has looked like today more or less.

Oh and for you who think I keep my house so perfect..notice the HUGE piles of stuff on the bookcase..been there 3 days. I really really need to file it all away.. I am working on it I promise!

Declan’s fever came back so he’s been a mush on the couch..here’s Taejan charing his sippy cup asking Declan “You feel better now?”:

Oh last night at Karate Noah got his yellow belt.. not bad eh? He’s only been there for about 7 weeks now and he’s on his 3rd rank!

and Jadziah thinks she wants to go back to Karate ( she’ll go to a class tomorrow with Eric to be sure) so I took out her gi from last year..well it sure doesn’t fit..but look who it did fit:

he’s even ready for weapons training! He walks around the house doing his “Kiai” ( ya know when they say “Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii”) all the time..I can’t wait until he’s ready for Karate too!!
