The Big E

Last week went took a Field Trip Friday and took the krew to The Big E. We try and go every year.. it’s so fun to walk around and enjoy the sites, eat the food ( less fun for me now that I am gluten free but oh well) learn a few things and ride some rides.

We love this..the music is great..

For the first time ever we went to the “free” circus..

The acts in the show were great..we all fully enjoyed it!

my mother treated them each(well the 3 younger ones) to a Pillow Pet..happy is not even close to what they were:

They went on a few rides ( again thanks to my mom) ..Ziah and Noah on the rollercoaster:

Dec and Taejan ( Taej was 1/4 of an inch too short to go on anything alone..Declan was NOT happy about being the designated kiddie ride chaperon):

They did learn a lot ( shhhh they don’t know this was a schooling field trip)

A day at the Fair

Last week we took the krew to a local County Fair. We try to go to a few every year.. ( we go to a really big one next week!).

Taejan was in John Deere Heaven…really this kid shoulda been born to a farm family!

Because we have the seasons passes to 6Flags we had warned the kids they were not going on a lot of rides..one each and nothing that was like anything 6Flags had.. so they all went on this:

Noah was actually with us..but he ate his way thru the fair..lol..wrestling season is about to pick up so he won’t be eating much good stuff for a few months..he wanted to pack it in now..LOL

Today I decided we needed a quiet day. We’ve had so many friends around, activities to go to and just unending things to do that we needed a day of just us. After a morning chilling I packed the kids and their ultra easy lunches up and we took off. We ended up at a little stream I used to take Noah to as a little kid.. We had 3 hours of relaxing awesome FUN..

Taejan found this when we arrived and gave it to me:

Ziah found this very cool rock..she wants to put it in the big fish tank

And found the source of the little spring..

It was a wonderful day!

An Afternoon outside..

The weather here has been less than stellar..which has led to less than stellar behavior and attitudes from myself and my children. Today we got a whole day of no rain.. so they played outside while I cleaned then when Noah went to mow his grandmother’s lawn I took the 3 little ones up to the state forest.

We had the pond to ourselves and it was just a perfect afternoon.

Huge Update

It seems I just don’t have the time to blog much anymore..sigh.. so here is a super long super overdue catch up post!

Lessons have been going as “normal”

I got to do relive some of my youth.. my friend of 29 years and fellow roller rink goer Missy invited me to tag along for her 13 year olds friends party at a not so local rink ( about 60 mins away).. We had a blast and even though I haven’t skate since I was 17 it came right back!
This rink is the largest indoor rink..per Guinness Book of world records..

The other day we had a beautiful day ( after a week plus of cold and rain) so after our 3 R’s we packed up the pastels, drawing pads and headed out.. went to a local park and had the kids do some science/art/nature study (aka hippie Schoolin)

After that I let them play..we ran into friends from karate so bonus..we got some PE and socialization in too!

We microwaved some marshmallows..they grow..A LOT:

Declan and Ziah continue with swim.. Ziah is now off the bubble most of the time.. Declan has been all year and can swim the width of the pool and back just fine!

It’s been a great but very busy few weeks!
