Little House in the Big Woods..
This kiddo’s finished their lapbook from In the Hands of a Child based on ” Little House in the Big Woods” by Laura Ingalls Wilder today. We finished the book last week and I am so pleased with how much the kiddos, even my Tiny Tag Along got from it!
As I post this they are creating a deer lick and hunting deer.. they have made butter ( both real and pretend), pretended to smoke meat, and of course there was bee stings and mud wrappings!
Here they are with their finished product!

This was the first Literature based project pack we did with a read aloud..I am very glad we did.. it will not be our last!
Have you seen?
In The Hands of a Child’s new website layout?(disclaimer.. they don’t have any idea I am even blogging about it)
If you haven’t..go..now. It’s sooo sweet. I’ve been planning the next 9ishmonths out and of course that means planning what lapbooks I MUST HAVE.. he he he.. so I’ve spent some time on their site making a list( and checking it twice). The navigation hasĀ improved about 1000 fold. Finding what I wanted to find was a 10 step process before..not anymore..this makes me very happy!
So if you haven’t been there lately..then head there now ( and yeah.. use my link..he he he..I admit it) and check it out!
