I am a bad bad blogger..
has it really been almost a month since I last posted?? ack I am so sorry…life ..well it’s life and it’s busy as all outdoors. All 3 wee ones are playing bball,doing swim lessons, dancing and were practicing for Nutcracker…plus Declan just went back to Karate ( same karate kid..new dojo!)..on top of that Eric has been working 60+ hours a week.
So let’s recap some of our last 4ish weeks..
Ok..first I had a trashed schoolroom..yep..this is what it looks like after a good week of schooling:
We studied Bee’s and made a bee craft:
Noah built buildings with Taejan:
We made handprint Turkeys:
we had playdates:
Made a Christmas countdown chain:
We put up the tree and decorated for the Holidays:
We had a visitor from FL:
Noah hung with Princess:
this is one of my BFF’s Missy ( known each other since 2nd grade..that’s a LONG time folks!).. we have been helping her and her hubby get the location for their soon to open dance club ready..yours truly will be waitressing there every weekend!

We had snow…more than once…( only got pictures once tho..lol)
Ziah had a flu like sickness for 3 days:
( Taejan had a stomach bug for 1.5 days but no picture)
The cats are sooooo cute when they sleep next to each other ( not so cute when they box right after though..)
We had Nutcracker.. let’s see.. 4 dress rehearsals,3 shows..
Declan was in 2 shows on Saturday:
Ziah and Taejan did one show..Saturday night ( I was in the audience so Noah took some ..um..ok pictures backstage)

Taejan’s Letter Tree
Taejan has not , up until this week, been overly interested in too much formal learning. He knows some of his letters and some sounds but not a ton.. he’s just 5 and would only be in pre-k if in school so I haven’t been too worried. This week he made it well known he needs and wants more and I better find a fun way to do it..lol.. I have been reorganizing our day so that the first 30 minutes is pure kindergarten time while the other ones do independent work.
I got the idea for a letter tree from seeing one on lots of blogs. We’ve never read the book that inspired it on those blogs but that’s ok. I wanted to make this tree from paper but I knew my 2 kitty’s would just scratch it to shreds,so we decided to clean off the glass door that is between the kitchen and schoolroom ( a tough job btw) and paint a tree. Ziah and I got down to business!
The class all clean..wow we had a lot of adhesive residue ..lol
All our pretty paints.. I am sooo glad we have 5 packages of this tanks to a mis-mark of 39 cents at Target last year!
Of course there was no brown in the packs so I had to combine a few colors to make our own..but it worked!

Using the hair dryer to dry the layers..we had to put 4 layers of paint since we were painting on glass:

After we got home from a day with friends I added more to the grass and leaves then Ziah got busy making it pretty:

One HUGE plus for me, we get to look a pretty GREEN tree all winter long..lol..those living in the Northeast know how cool this will be..LOL
Taejan turns 5
This is what Taejan looked like when we started on our homeschool journey..not even a year old:
Now he is 5!!! How exactly did that happen?

A fabulous day for my baby..still hard to grasp my last baby is 5…whaa..where did the time go?

Taejan began soccer today.. I am sooo proud. I played in High School and Noah played ( I coached ) for years..Ziah tried ( was way too shy to stick with it at the time)..and Now it’s Taejan’s turn.
He is team “Taco Bell”..and number 5 ( his choice).. he loved it..
